ABOUT ABOUT

When a baby boomer mom (Elyssa Rosen) learns that her millennial son is becoming her daughter, she tries everything to stop this huge change from disrupting HER normal life. Fraught with pronoun errors, denial, and confusion, she finally sees the light in the H&M dressing room. This NYC mom tells the true tale of the trials and tribulations of accepting her daughter in a comical journey of footwear, acceptance, and embracing the power of love over neuroses.

Written and Performed by Elyssa Rosen

DIRECTION: Peter Michael Marino

Elyssa Rosen (writer/performer) has been performing stand-up since 2012. A year ago, she took some time to stop standup and whining about aging to create this new solo show combining her unique sense of humor with her struggles in life. Her solo show, “You Haven’t Changed A Bit” examined her dread of returning to her 40th high school reunion and debuted at SOLOCOM at the Peoples Improv Theater in New York City.

She is currently working on a comedy for a tv series based on her solo show, "Mom in Transition".
