Breakneck Hamlet

ABOUT ABOUT

Tim Mooney presents “a one-man show for the fringe festival ages,” recklessly slicing Hamlet from Shakespeare’s original, cutting a four-hour play to a single hour with a single actor! This “breakneck” performance reveals Hamlet as a thrilling chameleon, with an immense intellectual capacity and a hilarious, wicked sense of humor. Rather than the “melancholy Dane,” Mooney “fights like hell,” with barely a second-long pause!

Winning five stars through the US, Canada (and Denmark!), Mooney’s “Hamlet” drew raves at the Orlando Fringe ("Exhaustingly impressive... you'll finally get to enjoy Shakespeare's words with impeccable enunciation”- Orlando Weekly), the London Fringe (“A perfect gem” – TheatreInLondon), the Calgary Fringe (“Best of Fest”), the Indy Fringe (“the way Shakespeare should be taught”—IndyStar), and the Kansas City Fringe (“A whirlwind of wonderful. Hold onto your seats and watch a master at his work” – KC Metropolis).

Edmonton’s Vue Weekly sums it up: “Neither Mooney, nor the audience can catch their breath… There’s an ‘I can’t believe he’s really going to do this’ feel of the show... If you’re a fan of Shakespeare, it’s a must see… a highly entertaining experience that’s worth the price of admission.”
